Jumpmind named leader in Forrester's POS solutions report

Today

Jumpmind has been recognised as a Leader in The Forrester Wave report for Point-of-Service Solutions, Q4 2024.

The recognition follows a detailed evaluation by the independent analyst firm Forrester, which assessed various point-of-service vendors based on several criteria, including vendor questionnaires, executive strategy briefings, demonstrations, and interviews with reference customers.

According to the report, Jumpmind received above average customer feedback and achieved the highest score possible in 13 criteria. These criteria include practitioner UX, custom checkout flow, digital payments, clienteling/assisted selling, store promotions, loyalty, endless aisle, offline resiliency, and architecture and delivery model.

Additionally, Jumpmind excelled in omni-fulfilment tool criteria, specifically in ship from store, buy in store and return/exchange in store, and buy online and return/exchange in store.

A key highlight from the Forrester report states, "Jumpmind is strong in practitioner UX and custom checkout flow, offering an intuitive UI for efficient front-end and back-end workflows. It's stronger in endless aisle, store promotions, and loyalty, taking a more customer-centric approach. It's strong in architecture and delivery model, with a solution that can be bought and deployed modularly (e.g., returns only)."

Furthermore, the company achieved the highest score in the "vision" criteria, which included elements required for an on-par score and a clearly articulated customer and associate-centric vision. The report noted, "The vendor has the elements required for an on-par score and clearly articulates a customer and associate-centric vision for this market and is moving forward on a path that is not well worn by other vendors. It proactively researches and responds to industry trends and it engages regularly with customers to co-develop new features that support its vision. Reference customers validated the strength of capabilities in these areas."

Forrester's report recognised Jumpmind for having "a North Star rooted in differentiating yet practical features."

Notably, all of Jumpmind's reference customers reported that their implementations were "delivered on time, on or under budget, and that they received more functionality than expected. They value the solution's ease of use, as well as the vendor's vision, flexible architecture, and co-development."

Joe Corbin, President and CEO of Jumpmind, commented on the recognition: "We're honored to have been named a Leader in our inaugural Forrester Wave evaluation. Most point of service platforms are designed to meet retailers' current needs, but the true challenge emerges years later when business requirements shift, customer expectations evolve, and hardware preferences change." He added, "Our goal is to ensure that today's choices don't constrain tomorrow's opportunities. Jumpmind solutions are technology agnostic, adaptable and future-proof, enabling retailers to stay ahead of the curve through agility, at scale."

Jumpmind is known for its cloud-native, mobile POS platform, utilized by retailers such as American Eagle, The Vitamin Shoppe, Build-a-Bear, and Petco. The company recently expanded its operations to the UK and Ireland to cater to its growing EMEA business, as well as supporting retailers seeking global expansion.
