Scality appoints Peter Brennan as Chief Revenue Officer
Scality, a leader in distributed file and object storage, has announced the appointment of Peter Brennan as chief revenue officer (CRO). Brennan, a former executive at VMware and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), will lead Scality's sales and marketing efforts to maximize revenue and expand growth activities worldwide. The CRO position was created to capture increasing market share in the growing file and object storage space with an emphasis on partners and the channel.
The rise in ransomware attacks and unstructured data growth are pushing more IT buyers to seek modern file and object storage solutions. Scality's appointment of Brennan reflects its mission to reach more of these IT buyers faster. Brennan brings over 20 years of data storage leadership to Scality. At HPE, Brennan transitioned a multi-billion dollar business from a pure-play infrastructure sale into an as-a-service model. Prior to this, he led a worldwide specialist sales organization for VMware, growing the business to over 20k customers and becoming the second-fastest billion-dollar run rate solution in the company's history. Brennan has also held channel and sales leadership positions at HPE, LeftHand Networks, Opsware, CommVault, and EMC.
