Yesterday

VivaTech is poised to host its ninth edition at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, showcasing a diverse range of technological, business, and geopolitical discussions between 11 and 14 June 2025.

With VivaTech having drawn over 165,000 attendees last year, the event promises to examine the latest in technology from multiple perspectives, including economic, societal, and environmental. The event will bring together notable speakers, startups, and thought leaders from both private and public sectors.

Technology will remain a central theme at VivaTech, with AI, quantum, and blockchain among the technologies to be discussed. More than 14,000 startups and technology leaders are expected to convene, reflecting the increasing significance of innovation as both an investment driver and a topic of global interest.

Multiple business sectors will have representation at the event, illustrating how emerging technologies are integrating into current and future business models. Particular focus will be given to sectors such as space tech, travel tech, and retail, where AI is increasingly prevalent.

Geopolitically, the event will explore the shifting global tech landscape, with various countries strengthening their presence at VivaTech. Notable participants include China, the United States, Poland, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador, and Nigeria, the latter joining other African nations in the AfricaTech Awards.

Canada is the designated Country of the Year for VivaTech 2025 and will bring over 170 Canadian tech and AI companies and organisations to the event, including Cohere, Sanctuary AI, Vooban, Airudi, and Medeloop.

There is also a strong focus on responsibilities, as 81% of executives see technology as a key factor in addressing societal and environmental challenges such as employment diversity and carbon footprint reduction. VivaTech will highlight this theme through attractions like the Impact Bridge, dedicated to startups aiming to make societal impacts.

Maurice Lévy, Honorary Chairman of Publicis Groupe, Pierre Louette, CEO of Les Echos - Le Parisien, and François Bitouzet, Managing Director of Viva Technology, underscored the importance of the event: "VivaTech is the platform where technology and business meet to shape the future. With the advent of AI and also because of ongoing geopolitical upheaval, interest is stronger than ever for this edition. With 300 global innovations announced and 4,000 partners, VivaTech is a driver of growth and visibility. Bringing together leaders from 30 sectors and international delegations, Vivatech is where companies and organisations can generate as much as 40% of their annual leads and strategic partnerships."

The lineup of speakers includes Joe Tsai, Co-Founder & Chairman of Alibaba Group, Vanessa Wyche of NASA, Alain Aspect from CNRS / Pasqal, Nobel Prize Winner, Zak Brown of McLaren Racing, Paul Hudson of Sanofi, Nikesh Arora of Palo Alto Networks, Arkady Volozh of Nebius, Barry Diller of IAC, Thierry Breton, and Enrico Letta, among others.

Among the themes, the AI Revolution in Action will feature prominently, with 85% of surveyed companies planning to increase investments in AI in the coming year. Esteemed speakers in AI include Mike Krieger, Martin Kon, and Arthur Mensch.

Creative industries will also receive attention with speakers from sectors such as music and film slated to address the impact of technological innovations on those industries. The festival will host a variety of experiences, including screenings and immersive events, aimed at exploring these developments.

Under the Tech Cares theme, startups pioneering advancements in healthcare, wellbeing, and environmental protection will be featured. Innovations from companies like EMOBOT, NUANCE AUDIO x ESSILORLUXOTTICA, AQEMIA, and IMPACT – ANTOINE ALLENO FOUNDATION will be showcased.

VivaTech will once again be co-organised by Groupe Les Echos - Le Parisien and Publicis Groupe, with Google, LVMH, BNP Paribas, La Poste Groupe, and Orange as founding partners, among others involved at various partnership levels for this international tech event.
