Ciphr launches innovative cloud-based payroll software

Ciphr has introduced a new cloud-based payroll software, Ciphr payroll, tailored to simplify payroll processing for the private sector.

The software features a real-time payroll engine, providing comprehensive updates to an organisation's people data, ensuring this crucial information stays synchronised across payroll systems and interfaces seamlessly with existing HR, finance, and workforce management systems.

This new platform is an updated version of the technology that Ciphr acquired from Shape payroll last year.

The interface of Ciphr payroll is designed for ease of use, featuring dashboards that offer quick insights and enhanced user experience, while introducing features that aim to eliminate manual tasks and reduce human error in payroll processing.

Ciphr payroll is cloud-based and API-led, offering single-sign-on (SSO) as a standard feature, along with centralised data security, and unlimited access without downtime for maintenance or upgrades. One significant advantage lies in its ability to conduct retrospective parallel runs, which typically removes the delay faced by payroll professionals having to wait before the system goes live.

Among its time-saving capabilities, Ciphr payroll automates various tasks including calculations for back pay, pro-ration, and average holiday pay. It can also auto-generate auto-enrolment letters and manage absence calculations, effectively decreasing administrative overheads for payroll teams.
