Open ECX expands team as business grows across sectors
Open ECX has announced the creation of several new roles to meet increasing demand as it expands into new sectors such as hospitality, food and beverage, engineering, property services, construction, and healthcare.
The Manchester-based software provider has recently secured business wins across various industries, including partnerships aimed at enhancing customer offerings alongside securing contracts to provide additional services to existing clients.
To accommodate its expansion and facilitate the onboarding of new customers, the company has made strategic appointments within its commercial and operations teams. Joseph Smith, Rachel Kirby, and Lucy Murphy have joined the commercial team, while Emma Garland, Angus Varndell, Dylan Meadows, and Malak Farhat have been recruited for the operations team.
Further recruitment is anticipated in the coming months as the company seeks to sustain its growth trajectory.
Open ECX provides SaaS-based software that automates business transactions and integrates with leading ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft. Their technologies focus on order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes, covering areas like invoicing, ordering, and statement reconciliation.
With headquarters in Blackfriars House in Manchester city centre, the company is supported by private equity firm MonacoSol.
Open ECX has recently entered the food and beverage sector by acquiring Beckett's Foods, a UK supplier of bacon and gammon to the foodservice and retail sectors, as a new customer. In the healthcare sector, they have also secured Vernacare, a medical equipment manufacturer, as a client.
Additional recent customers include Arco, which supplies workplace safety equipment and provides related services, and Solenis, a global producer of specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries. Property services specialist Cardo Group, engineering company Portsmouth Aviation, and paving and walling manufacturer Tobermore have also joined Open ECX's clientele.
Open ECX has formed strategic partnerships with significant entities such as Kerridge Commercial Systems, a provider of ERP and business management software, Medius, and the National Merchant Buying Society, a UK buying society for independent merchants.
Chief Executive Nathan Ollier commented, "Our drive into new sectors has formed a key part of our strategy for 2024, and we are pleased to see this bearing fruit with a series of significant business wins in areas such as food and beverage and healthcare."
"We continue to invest in great people to build on the dynamic and collaborative culture we have created to further drive innovation and excellence," Ollier added. "We're excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to deliver automation and efficiency to a rapidly-growing customer base through the development of new solutions, alongside expanding our partnerships with existing customers and organisations to help them improve their offering to their own clients and members."
He concluded, "It's an exciting period for Open ECX and attracting more great people to our team gives us scope for further continued growth as we increase our activities across a host of industries."
