Konsileo has completed a £5 million equity investment round led by existing shareholder Committed Capital, with participation from ACF Investors.

The chartered insurance broker said the funding will support further growth. Founded in 2017, it now employs more than 220 people.

Konsileo arranges more than £85 million in annual insurance premiums for businesses across the UK and has grown without acquisitions, according to Committed Capital.

A key part of the business is its in-house broking platform, which automates administrative tasks, includes compliance checks and helps brokers gather better-quality risk information.

The investment comes as the broker approaches its tenth year in business. It was also recently recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, where it was named the best medium-sized organisation in financial services.

John Warburton, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Konsileo, said the funding would help the business build on its current momentum.

"We've always believed that great brokers do their best work when you give them autonomy, equip them properly and support them rather than manage them. Our growth is a testament to what happens when you offer something genuinely different to ambitious brokers who want to build brilliant client relationships.

"This investment means we can keep attracting great people, investing in our platform and building on the momentum we've created as we approach our tenth anniversary.

"We're delighted to have the continued support of both Committed Capital and ACF Investors, who understand both our model and our ambitions for the business," said John Warburton, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Konsileo.

Investor backing

The latest round increases Committed Capital's long-term backing for the broker. Steven Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Committed Capital, highlighted both the company's operating model and its software platform.

"We are delighted to have completed this round and to deepen our long-standing commitment to Konsileo. John, Peter and the team have built one of the fastest-growing independent brokers in the UK, and they have done it organically, broker by broker, rather than through acquisition.

"That growth rests on two things that are very hard to replicate: a proprietary broking platform that strips out administration, embeds compliance and is now putting AI to work for brokers, and a culture that consistently attracts the most talented people in the industry. Konsileo is showing what a modern commercial broker looks like, and we look forward to supporting the team through its next phase of growth," said Steven Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Committed Capital.

ACF Investors, which first backed the company in 2022, also took part in the round. It said the broker had built significant momentum since that earlier investment.

"Konsileo continues to bring much-needed innovation to commercial insurance broking, combining smart technology with a model that empowers brokers to deliver a better service for clients. Since our initial investment in 2022, the business has built significant momentum, demonstrating the strength and scalability of its approach. We're excited to continue supporting John and the team as they enter their next phase of growth," said Tim Mills, Managing Partner of ACF Investors.

Konsileo operates as an independent broker in the UK commercial insurance market. Alongside its technology platform, the business says it uses a flat organisational structure with coaching rather than traditional management layers, and it trains staff through the Konsileo Academy.

Its recent workplace and industry awards add to a period of expansion as it seeks to add brokers and invest further in its platform.
