Qvest unveils AI adoption strategies in top media companies at NAB
At the 2024 NAB Show, Qvest, a media, broadcasting, and entertainment software vendor, unveiled important insights about artificial intelligence (AI) adoption strategies by high-level studios and networks. Approximately 75% of Qvest's client roster comprises Fortune 1000 companies; this data, therefore, offers a credible picture of AI trends among influential industry players. Delivered during the Devoncroft Executive Summit keynote, the findings delve into the ongoing progress of AI integration, strategic planning and its influence on corporate culture.
About 80% of companies analysed have formed AI Councils or Task Forces, demonstrating a strategic but cautious attitude towards AI integration within their functions. It signifies that entities are not blindly embracing AI; rather, they are contemplating possible applications and implications and working towards establishing a sturdy base for its use.
It was observed that the lion's share of these corporations are presently in the proof of concept phase, which primarily focuses on enterprise co-pilots, service enhancements, and content optimization. This phase is imperative in the adoption of AI as it acts as a testing ground for validating AI applications before they are deployed on a larger scale. In this stage, companies are still exploring AI's potential, conducting tests, and working on improvements based on acquired insights. This risk-averse approach minimises potential failures when the program comes into full operation.
Qvest also shed light on its newly developed GenAI Maturity Model. This structure's central goal is to direct organisations through various stages of AI maturity, which range from initial awareness and experimentation to complete integration and optimisation. By furnishing corporations with a guide map to navigate their AI journey, the design aspires to prompt innovation and competitive gain via strategic AI deployment.
These insights by Qvest underscore the growing emphasis on AI within the media and broadcasting landscape. The insights clearly demonstrate that major players are making significant strides towards adopting AI, simultaneously balancing strategy with caution.
