ScreenCloud has secured three awards in customer service at the Contact Centre Northern Ireland Awards, highlighting the achievements of its Belfast-based team. The company was nominated for nine awards, including seven individual and two team categories, and was honoured with accolades recognising individual and collective contributions to customer support.

Key recognitions

The company received silver in the Rising Star category for Allen Rahbar and joint gold in the Senior Leader of the Year for Harry Spence. ScreenCloud's Customer Support team was also named Customer Team of the Year. These wins underscore the company's focus on service delivery and team development within its local operations.

Mark McDermott, Chief Executive Officer at ScreenCloud, said the awards were a recognition of the company's ongoing commitment to its customers and staff.

"I am immensely proud to see our team receive this industry-leading recognition. Winning three highly competitive categories, including Customer Team of the Year, is a direct reflection of the commitment, passion, and exceptional service that Allen, Harry, and our entire Customer Support organization deliver every single day. This is a huge testament to the world-class talent we have cultivated in Northern Ireland and our dedication to providing an unparalleled experience for our global customers."

Belfast operations

ScreenCloud operates one of its global offices in Belfast, alongside locations in London, Thailand, and the United States. The Belfast hub includes functions spanning customer support, product, engineering, and marketing. The awards reflect the prominence of the city as a technology and service centre, with the sector playing an important role in the local economy.

Harry Spence, who was named joint gold winner in the Senior Leader of the Year category, commented on the achievements of the support team and the business.

"It's been a tremendous year for the Support team and for ScreenCloud as a whole. The team has worked tirelessly to launch and enhance new systems designed to deliver an even better experience for our customers, including the introduction of an AI-driven self-service platform seamlessly integrated with our world-class support team. I'm thrilled that this dedication and innovation have been recognised with this award. I'd like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire team for their outstanding work throughout the year. It's also fantastic to see Allen's individual contribution celebrated with his own award. There's still so much more to come, and we're excited to build on this success as we continue to raise the bar for customer experience in the year ahead."

Industry context

The digital signage industry is projected to grow from USD $28.8 billion to approximately USD $49.9 billion by 2030, according to industry forecasts. This anticipated expansion is fuelled by an increase in digital communications across business sectors, especially in internal communications. While digital signage has traditionally been used in retail and outdoor advertising, ScreenCloud positions its solutions towards enterprise communications and organisational engagement.

ScreenCloud counts multinational firms such as Biersdorf, Compass Group, and Hilton among its customers, providing tools for both internal and customer-facing communications via digital displays.

Local landscape

Belfast has witnessed growth as a centre for technology and knowledge industries, with the city's economic advancement reportedly outpacing the UK average. Recent investment activity, such as funding from Tenzing, a technology-focused investment firm, has highlighted ScreenCloud's trajectory in the region. The city continues to attract technology companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Northern Ireland, driven by local talent and business potential.

The Contact Centre Northern Ireland Awards celebrate organisations contributing to the region's customer contact sector, and the competitive nature of this year's event reflects the breadth of participants in Belfast's business landscape.
