Alayic appoints Planet Zeus to spearhead AI voice PR
AI voice start-up Alayic has hired North West agency Planet Zeus to handle public relations and social media activity for the launch and expansion of its automated call-handling platform.
Alayic develops AI voice agents for small businesses. The company positions its technology as an alternative to traditional call-answering services and missed-call voicemail.
The business was founded by Paul Gott, Lee Parkinson and Ric Clements. The three directors have a background in business transformation, AI and Robotic Process Automation, as well as customer service management.
The founders have previously worked with the National Innovation Centre for Data on AI and machine learning projects. They now apply this experience to automated voice agents that mimic human call handlers.
Alayic says its platform can conduct entire customer conversations without human intervention. The system answers incoming calls and manages them from beginning to end.
The company targets small firms that face lost revenue when calls go unanswered. It argues that automated voice agents can reduce this exposure by fielding enquiries at any time.
Marketing brief
Under the new mandate, Planet Zeus will run a communications strategy that spans media relations, social media and content output for Alayic. The brief covers launch messaging and ongoing brand-building activity.
The agency will also work on feature-led promotion for the product. It plans seasonal story campaigns and community-focused initiatives around the Alayic brand.
Planet Zeus will seek to increase awareness of AI voice agents among small business owners. It will also position Alayic's leadership as commentators in areas such as automation and customer experience.
Gott, who is Chief Executive Officer at Alayic, said the partnership comes at a pivotal stage for the business.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with Planet Zeus at such an exciting time for Alayic. As we bring our AI voice platform to market, it's essential that our communications reflect the innovation and ambition behind the technology. Planet Zeus understands our vision and brings the strategic expertise needed to amplify our story, build meaningful connections, and support our long-term growth," said Paul Gott, Chief Executive Officer, Alayic.
Product model
Alayic offers its AI voice agents on a pay-as-you-go basis. The model has no set-up charge and no minimum contract term.
The service includes custom voice and tone settings. Customers can define greetings and call-handling rules.
Alayic bundles a large allocation of free minutes into its plans. It also provides reporting analytics and priority support at no extra charge.
Businesses can add more advanced features. These include extra customisation and a dedicated account manager.
The company is targeting small businesses that want automated call handling without long-term contracts. It focuses on ease of onboarding and the use of AI without major upfront investment.
AI voice market
AI voice agents form part of a growing segment within customer contact technology. Companies apply them in reception functions, booking lines and basic customer service roles.
Vendors in this segment are racing to create systems that sound natural, maintain context and comply with regulations. Many focus on small and mid-sized businesses that want automation but do not run large contact centres.
Alayic's founders draw on experience in process automation and data-led customer operations. They are entering a market where telecoms providers, software vendors and specialist AI firms compete for the same customers.
Planet Zeus, which is based in the North West, works across PR, social media and influencer marketing. It will now promote Alayic's AI voice offering and support the company's market entry plans.
Alayic intends to expand its customer base as small firms assess automated call-handling options and test AI voice services in everyday operations.
