BMX launches magnetic power bank for foldable iPhone

Better Mobile Xperience has launched the SolidSafe Duo magnetic power bank for Apple's foldable iPhone Duo, one of the first accessories designed around the device's foldable form factor.
The product uses a custom-made 5,000mAh semi-solid-state cell and measures 77 x 88 x 11mm. It is designed to stay within the handset's edges while attached for charging.
The launch places BMX among accessory makers moving quickly to tailor products to a new category of smartphone hardware. Apple's foldable handset has created demand for chargers and stands that work in portrait, landscape and partially folded positions.
A rotating ring stand is built into the back of the SolidSafe Duo. It is intended to support reading and messaging in portrait mode, video viewing in landscape mode and hands-free use when the phone is partly folded.
The device offers magnetic wireless charging at up to 15W and wired charging at up to 20W through an attached USB-C lanyard cable. It also includes a full-colour TFT LCD that displays remaining battery capacity and live charging wattage.
The cable can also recharge the power bank itself at up to 15W input, removing the need to carry a separate cable.
Battery design
The battery contains significantly less liquid electrolyte than conventional lithium-ion technology. This reduces the amount of flammable electrolyte inside the cell and is intended to lower fire risk linked to heat, physical damage or internal short circuits.
According to BMX, the semi-solid-state architecture also gave it more flexibility over the battery's shape and dimensions. That allowed the company to fit a 5,000mAh cell into a compact body while retaining magnetic charging and the integrated stand.
The housing is made from CNC-machined aluminium. The enclosure adds rigidity and helps dissipate heat generated during charging.
Better Mobile Xperience is based in Singapore and was launched in December 2025. The company focuses on semi-solid-state power banks and chargers.

The SolidSafe Duo is priced at USD $79.99 and GBP £79.99.
The SolidSafe Duo is designed to address the charging requirements created by foldable smartphones. Its compact dimensions allow it to remain aligned with the handset while attached during wireless charging. The integrated stand provides an additional function without requiring a separate accessory. Users can position the device in different orientations depending on how the foldable screen is being used.
The 15W wireless charging output provides a cable-free charging option, while the 20W wired connection offers a higher-power alternative. The built-in display provides information about the power bank's remaining capacity and charging performance. Its attached USB-C cable also reduces the number of separate accessories users need to carry.
The semi-solid-state cell is a key part of the product's design, allowing BMX to develop a thinner battery profile. The company says the technology also reduces the quantity of liquid electrolyte used within the battery. BMX expects the product to appeal to users looking for a portable power source designed specifically for foldable smartphones.
