Interprefy has joined the Cvent App Marketplace, giving Cvent customers access to multilingual event services through the platform.

Listed in the Accessibility category, Interprefy's offering lets organisations using Cvent find human interpretation, AI speech translation, live captions and subtitles within the event management platform. The services cover more than 80 languages across in-person, online and hybrid events.

Cvent's marketplace serves roughly 30,000 customers, including 70% of the Fortune 500. For event planners running international programmes, the listing is designed to remove the need to source a separate language provider during planning.

The move comes as organisers continue to manage a mix of physical, remote and hybrid event formats. Interprefy pointed to the challenge of serving audiences in multiple languages when only a minority of the global population speaks English natively or as a second language.

Under the arrangement, users can choose between human interpreters and AI-based translation tools depending on the event format and the level of accuracy required. Interprefy works with a network of more than 6,000 professional interpreters and also offers automated speech translation and captions that can run simultaneously in dozens of languages.

Customers can access the services through Interprefy's professional services team or directly through the platform. The setup can support events ranging from a single breakout session to a multi-day conference.

Marketplace access

The Cvent App Marketplace acts as a directory for software and technology partners that connect with Cvent's event platform. For software vendors, inclusion offers access to an established base of corporate planners and marketers already using Cvent to manage registration, scheduling and event operations.

For Interprefy, the listing places its services in front of organisations that may already be running global meetings and events at scale. The Zurich-based company provides remote simultaneous interpretation and AI-led live translation for business, government and international organisations.

Its tools have also been used beyond corporate conferences, including at sports events and cultural gatherings. Examples cited by the company include multilingual support at tennis events and AI subtitling for large live audiences.

Sue Yardley, Global Head of Corporate Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Interprefy, said the aim was to simplify how organisers add language support to events managed on Cvent.

"Planners running events on Cvent shouldn't have to leave the platform to solve for language," Yardley said. "That's the whole point of this listing: interpretation and AI speech translation become a checkbox in the tools they already use, not a separate vendor search two weeks before an event. It gives Cvent's customers a much lower bar for making an event multilingual, whether that's one breakout room or the main stage."

Industry demand

The broader events sector has paid more attention to accessibility and international participation as companies expand across borders. Real-time translation has become part of that shift, especially for organisers trying to encourage participation from attendees who are not comfortable speaking English in live sessions.

Cvent has framed its marketplace as a way to reduce fragmentation across event technology stacks, where organisers often rely on several separate systems for registration, content, attendee engagement and analytics. Integrations are intended to keep those functions connected within one workflow.

Mike Tenholder, Global Head of Alliance Partnerships at Cvent, said the addition fits that approach.

"We're excited to expand our Marketplace with organisations like Interprefy as we work together to power a more connected event tech ecosystem," Tenholder said.

Interprefy has more than 100 staff across 30 countries, reflecting the international nature of the market it serves. The company positions its language services around meetings and events where participants need simultaneous interpretation, translated speech or real-time on-screen captions.

The marketplace listing gives Cvent users a direct route to those services without leaving the software they already use to manage event programmes.
