Bitget has launched the Bitget Alliance Program, a four-week scheme that sets aside a reward pool equal to 30% of eligible platform transaction fee revenue.

The move follows a security incident the crypto exchange identified on September 24. User balances remain intact, and the company is working to restore normal services and strengthen security.

Running from September 28 to October 26, the programme will distribute rewards based on users' trading activity and assets held on the platform. The pool will be calculated from 30% of actual net transaction fee revenue retained from eligible non-institutional users during the period.

Under the exchange's structure, 60% of the total reward pool will be allocated based on eligible trading activity and 40% based on eligible asset holdings. Rewards will be calculated weekly and paid in USDT.

A minimum participation threshold of 100 USDT will apply, along with caps and other eligibility requirements. Eligible trading activity includes futures, spot and stocks trading, while some products and transaction types are excluded.

The programme is aimed at users who stayed with the platform during a difficult period for the business. Bitget presented the initiative as a separate measure to recognise customers who continued using the exchange after the recent incident.

Gracy Chen, Chief Executive Officer of Bitget, said the company wanted to respond directly to support from customers and partners.

"Over the past few days, we have seen an extraordinary amount of support from our users, partners and the wider community. It has meant a great deal to all of us at Bitget. We wanted to find a meaningful way to give something back to the people who have stood with us, which is why we are putting a share of the platform's trading fee revenue directly into a reward pool for our users," said Gracy Chen, Chief Executive Officer of Bitget.

VIP support

Alongside the broader rewards plan, the exchange is extending support to eligible VIP1 to VIP7 users through a 30-day VIP level protection trial pass. Qualifying users will be able to keep their corresponding VIP benefits during that period.

The passes will be issued automatically to eligible users, with distribution scheduled to be completed before October 1. VIP users will also have access to dedicated relationship managers and VIP customer support for withdrawal, account and fund-related requests as the company continues a phased return to normal operations.

The Alliance Program is open to eligible users, subject to regional, legal and regulatory requirements. Separate rules also apply to eligibility, reward calculations and campaign terms.

Bitget says it serves more than 125 million users and offers access to more than 2 million crypto tokens, as well as tokenised stocks, exchange-traded funds, commodities, foreign exchange and precious metals. It also says it operates across 150 regions.

The Alliance Program links customer retention to trading activity at a time when exchanges are under pressure to reassure users after operational or security disruptions. By tying the reward pool to net fee revenue, payouts will also depend on the level of activity on the platform during the four-week period.

Chen said the initiative was intended as a gesture to users while the company continues work on the platform.

"The Alliance Program is our way of saying thank you. We know trust is earned through what we do, especially when things are difficult. Our focus remains on taking care of our users, strengthening the platform and continuing to communicate openly as we move forward," said Chen.
