Laundryheap launches in four new international markets

Laundryheap pushes into four new markets worldwide

Thu, 26th Feb 2026

Laundryheap has expanded into four new markets, adding Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia and Scotland as it continues its international rollout in on-demand laundry and dry cleaning.

It now operates in 28 cities across 16 countries, with Bogota, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur and Edinburgh the latest additions. Laundryheap already runs services in markets including the US, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, the UAE and France, and plans more launches later this year.

The move extends a period of rapid growth for the business. Laundryheap says it has served more than 400,000 customers globally and processed more than 110 million items to date, growing 700% since 2020.

Acquisition trail

Laundryheap has pursued acquisitions alongside organic expansion, completing seven over the past three years. Recent deals include France's Lavoir Moderne and Singapore-based Oppa Laundry. It acquired UK-based Laundrapp in 2022.

The business operates an app- and web-based ordering model. Customers book collection for clothes and bedding, which are cleaned by partner laundry facilities and returned to the customer's door. Laundryheap promotes a 24-hour turnaround.

In some cities, it also offers a faster option. Laundryheap Express Overnight launched in London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi last year, and returns laundry and dry cleaning in as little as eight hours in those locations.

Consumer and commercial

Laundryheap targets both household and business customers, working with bars, restaurants, hotels and Airbnb owners. It lists Emirates Skywards, CitizenM and Klarna as commercial partners.

Competition in app-based local services has increased as consumer behaviour shifts toward delivery-and-collection models for everyday tasks. Laundry and dry cleaning has become part of that broader market, with operators relying on networks of third-party facilities and couriers rather than centralised cleaning sites.

The latest market entries extend Laundryheap's reach in Latin America and South East Asia, while adding another UK location. Edinburgh is its newest city in Scotland.

Funding has supported the expansion effort. Laundryheap says it has raised £17m to date, naming Alex Chesterman, Nickleby Capital, Verb Ventures, The Side by Side Partnership and Claret Capital Partners among investors and angels.

The company links its growth since 2020 to pandemic-era changes in consumer habits and wider adoption of digital services.

International expansion in local services often brings operational challenges, including maintaining service consistency while relying on local partners, and meeting time-bound delivery promises. Laundryheap's model depends on coordinated collection and drop-off, as well as sufficient cleaning capacity from partner facilities in each city.

CEO and founder Deyan Dimitrov said the latest launches are part of a wider scaling plan.

"Our launches into Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia and Scotland mark another major milestone in Laundryheap's journey to becoming the world's most trusted name in on-demand laundry and dry cleaning. From day one, our mission has been to make laundry effortless for customers wherever they are - delivering speed, convenience and consistent high quality at the tap of a button."

"Expanding into these vibrant markets reflects both the strength of our technology platform and the growing global demand for reliable, 24-hour turnaround services. As we continue to scale, we remain focused on innovation - from overnight delivery to new partnerships with local businesses - ensuring we set the standard for what modern laundry services should look like."

Laundryheap says it will announce further expansion plans across the USA and the GCC region soon.
