Stacked air fryers win space-saving praise in UK reviews

Cosori has released research suggesting space-saving features are mentioned far more often in Amazon UK reviews of stacked dual-basket air fryers than in reviews of side-by-side models. The findings are based on an analysis of more than 2,000 reviews.
It found that 17% of reviews for stacked models mentioned saving space, compared with 2% for side-by-side versions. Meanwhile, 42.2% of reviews for stacked models referred to replacing an existing air fryer.
The figures point to a practical issue in UK kitchens as shoppers weigh whether to buy an additional appliance or replace one they already own. Cosori's analysis covered 2,016 customer reviews of dual-basket air fryers sold on Amazon UK, including 569 for stacked models and 1,447 for side-by-side models.
Air fryers have become a more established part of British cooking habits, particularly for meals that might otherwise compete for oven space. Separate research cited by Cosori, from Leatherhead Food Research, found that 41% of air fryer owners use the appliance to cook party foods, while 31% said they struggle to judge cooking times for certain foods.
Kitchen squeeze
That backdrop helps explain why manufacturers are focusing not just on basket size, but also on how much room an appliance takes up on the worktop. In many homes, width can matter as much as capacity, especially when kitchens must also accommodate food preparation, serving dishes and other everyday appliances.
Cosori is using the findings to highlight its Turbo Tower Compact, a dual-drawer air fryer with vertically stacked compartments rather than a side-by-side layout. The model has two independent 4.3-litre drawers, giving it a total capacity of 8.6 litres, and measures 27.5cm wide.
According to Cosori's product comparison, that footprint uses 37.5% less worktop width than one of its conventional side-by-side dual-basket models, which measures 44cm wide. The product is priced at £169.99 in the UK.
Each drawer has separate temperature and timing controls, allowing users to cook different foods at the same time. The model also includes Air Fry, Roast, Grill, Bake, Reheat and Dry functions, along with Sync, which aligns finishing times, and Match, which duplicates settings across both drawers.
Replacement buying
The review analysis suggests stacked air fryers are not only attracting first-time buyers. A notable share of reviewers appear to be buying them as replacements for an existing appliance, indicating that layout and kitchen fit may be becoming more important as the category matures.
That shift may matter for the wider small appliance market. Consumers who already own an air fryer are likely to judge new purchases less on novelty and more on specific constraints such as available space, the ability to cook multiple dishes and ease of use.
Cosori also pointed to guidance and recipe support as another area of demand. Through the VeSync app, users of the Turbo Tower Compact can access 30 recipes with preparation times, cooking times, temperatures, ingredient lists and step-by-step instructions, alongside a cooking chart covering more than 80 ingredients.
The model also includes dishwasher-safe baskets and crisper plates, and uses a PFAS-free non-stick ceramic coating. Each drawer has its own heater and DC fan positioned at the top, with heat directed downwards onto the food, according to Cosori.
Robbie Yang, Air Fryer Product Lead at Cosori, said: "At Christmas, an extra appliance has to earn its place alongside the kettle, chopping board and serving dishes. Home cooks need somewhere for the trimmings while the roast is in the oven, but they still need room to prepare and serve the meal.
"That balance shaped the Turbo Tower Compact. We stacked the drawers to add cooking capacity while using less worktop width. The aim is to give people more flexibility over the Christmas menu, with room for the preparation and serving that happen around it."
